Earlier this week, Tom Cruise was allegedly questioned for conspiring with his attorney and now jailed private investigator Anthony Pellicano in illegally wiretapping magazine editor Michael Davis Sapir cell phone. The accusations came about from a lawsuit back in 2001 when Tom Cruise sued Sapir for $100 million after the editor falsely stated he had video proof of Tom Cruise engaging in homosexual activity.
Mr. Sapir is now under the impression that Cruise had engaged in illegal wiretapping during the 2001 lawsuit, recording conversations between Mr. Sapir and his attorney. Michael Sapir is now suing Tom Cruise for $5 million dollars, claiming that Tom used these taps to gain an unfair advantage during the 2001 court case.
According to Tom Cruise’s attorney ” the allegations are absolute garbage. We did not even hire Pellicano to work on the Sapir case.”
